Destination: a place to which one is traveling

Dossier: a file containing detailed records on a particular person or subject

Therefore, The Travels of Distinction™ Destination Dossier™ is a personal booklet containing detailed information on the particular place to where you are traveling.

To be more specific, we begin with the information clients provide in our vacation form. Based on their interests, we compile a comprehensive document that contains activity and entertainment options for them to enjoy during their stay. Information pertaining to their preferred land, air, and water activities as well as maps, shopping availability, wedding packages, and dining preferences can be included.

To provide you with as complete a dossier as possible, we will probably have additional questions for you regarding your preferences that are not included in our vacation form. Once complete, we can send you the finished dossier bound hardcopy by mail, electronically by email as a .PDF file, or, you can register with Travels of Distinction™ for free, afterwhich, you will have access to your own, personal, password protected, "My Travels" page, where your Destination Dossier™ will be available for download, as a .PDF file, from anywhere where you can gain access to the internet. In it, you will find examples of the kinds of information you might find in your customized Dossier – information such as attractions, dining, shopping, and more. Of course, your Dossier need not include only these subjects. It could contain a wide variety of subjects. It would be customized for you! It would be carefully researched and compiled based on your preferences, your likes and dislikes.

We not only provide schedules, pricing, locations, etc., we can even book your activity or reservation for you!

As you leaf through this sample, you will see a few different example sections – Activities, Attractions, Spas, Dining, and Shopping. Note that the tabs are live and will take you to that particular section when you click on them. The table of contents on page 3 is also live with similar links. When you click on a tab, you are taken to that section's title page with an index of the activities, restaurants, stores, etc. found in that section, which are also live links. You can continue to use the tabs to navigate throughout the Dossier accordingly.

Lastly, Adobe Acrobat provides a number of different configurations for viewing a document. Our Destination Dossiers are best viewed with the facing view, which shows multiple pages at a time, side-by-side, booklet style. Changing views in Acrobat is very easy. In the toolbar at the top of your screen, just click on View, Page Layout, then your desired configuration, facing in this case. Also, most versions of Acrobat have a set of icons on the lower, right hand side of your screen. These are viewing icons and are another very easy way to toggle back and forth between different views. For easy reading and navigation, don't forget to zoom in and out as needed!
